Precept means a rule or principle that guides behaviour. It's not just a name — it's how the business operates.
I'm Jason van Wyk, and I am Precept Systems. Every job, every client, every solution has my name on it. That means personal accountability — not a helpdesk queue, not a ticket number, not someone else's problem.
I think of my work the way a good doctor or lawyer approaches theirs. A doctor explains what's wrong in language you understand, recommends the right treatment, and follows up to make sure it worked. A lawyer treats your information with absolute confidentiality and acts in your interest. That's the standard I hold myself to — whether I'm fixing a home WiFi network or designing an industrial monitoring system.
What I Do
I'm a systems integrator and digital transformation consultant who also does hands-on implementation. I assess what a client needs, design the right solution for their situation and budget, and then build and support it.
The range is deliberate. Residential work builds community reputation and keeps me connected to everyday technology problems. Consulting and IoT projects are where the business is growing. Both matter.
